    Beauvais is halfway between Paris and Amiens.

    London Luton
    London Stansted
    London Gatwick

    and not exactly be in a "busy city"

    We flew to Paris and 90 minutes later we were in the Beautiful countryside of Beaune. I thoroughly recommend it.

    If you fly into Paris Orly, you are only about 2 hours from the Loire Valley - with its castles, wine tasting etc.

    You could also look at flying with Flybe from somewhere like Southampton - they do lots of flights to France.
