Costco Amex Card gives 1% cashback (£300/year max)

Sorry, I know this is not for everyone but the 1% cashback is pretty good (I think). Deal spotted on HUKD which, I assume, I can link too...

  • It's nice to have but beware that not all retailers accept amex.

Quite a few mainstream dont accept it like h&m.

You can forget independant businesses from accepting them. I have a small business and I refuse to take them because they charge something stupid like 3%. That's why they can give you 1% in cashback.

    Things worth pointing out:

    - Only Costco members can apply for the card. Take a look to see if you meet their criteria:

    - You will need to be able to visit a Costco warehouse to get your photo taken. Check their store locations here:
    http://warehouses.costco.co.uk/locations/

    - If you do meet their criteria, the cheapest Costco membership is £33.60 annually

    - Your cashback will be in the form of a Costco voucher which you would need to visit your local warehouse itself and ask them to exchange it for cash.
