would parking eye cancel with a receipt?

Hi

I overstayed in an ASDA car park. Did some shopping in the town, then went to their cafe and forgot about the time. Did a bit of shopping after and miraculously found the receipt. Would they believe i was in store for over 3 hours?

I was in my partners car, and of course, he just wants to pay the £40 as its a lease car and thinks he'll get into trouble. He thinks if I appeal with the receipt that will affect the 14 days leeway to pay less. I've had to hide the notice so he doesn't pay!

I think your memory is playing you up, that was
another day you went shopping in the town.

This particular day, you spent time in Asda, used their cafe
and you have a receipt to prove it

Contact the CEO and as a valued customer ask him
    to cancel it

well yes of course the town trip was another day.

I contacted customer services and told them I have shopped there most days for over 15 years, but was told sorry its not down to them to cancel the charge - i would need to appeal with parking eye

That's their standard response, you needed to be more assertive and ask for the manager not the useless CS bod only there to refund a pair of soiled knickers.

Of course they can cancel, try emailing their head office.

Most of these companies have what they call "customer service"
In reality it is "customer fob off" and is par for the course
    with Asda

Don't put up with this rubbish, a severe complaint to
the CEO .... YOU ARE A CUSTOMER and his customer
service dept are holding you in contempt.
In other words, Asda is treating you as an idiot

Either he wants you and your friends to continue spending
money with Asda or not. A choice he must make.

In future if you see Parking Eye patrol the car park, drive out
    and shop somewhere else

ASDA stores have the facility to cancel tickets in store at the customer service desk. At least they do in Scotland (where other PPC rules apply I know). I've had a few issued when, frankly, I couldn't be bothered walking to the machine (ASDA refund the parking fee in my local shop as long as you spend over £5). The PPC lady loves her job and openly admits people don't need to pay, but she is "mystery shopped" to ensure she is checking and ticketing unpaid cars.

parking eye do sometimes cancel when receipts are produced from ANY occupant of the vehicle, I know as its been done several times with my PERSONAL help to family and friends etc

as for ASDA , dont waste your time with the shop, complain on their website by raising a trouble ticket complaint , obtaining a reference by making such a complaint official

THEY (leeds head office) have the power over their minions like PE, so best to get LEEDS to sort it out and then they can close the trouble ticket

yes I know it works, been done and mentioned by me before on here , several times

DO NOT FORGET to put in the blue text template appeal on the PE website , with any copies of receipts or redacted bank statements

so a 2 pronged attack, no faffing around !!!

their stores allow for multiple retail outlets as in cafe , chemist , shop itself , clothes store by GEORGE , opticians etc

    it all takes time

....... and send the template initial appeal with copies of receipt (or redacted bank/cc statement) to PE?

Don’t miss their deadline for appealing this, they are litigious, and failure to go through due process with them seems to be a trigger for issuing a county court claim.

And you wonder why the country is now infested by PPCs. Everywhere you go, new signs are sprouting up.

So I presume you have no sympathy for those at that car park who have inadvertently fallen foul of the parking regime and are worried sick by the harassment being inflicted on them? Not everyone has the resilience to argue it out with the store, so end up losing out to the PPC’s intimidation.
