How do I identify the Freeholder of my flat?

So, long story short, back in 2008 I had my boiler flood. One of the things that got flooded was my long term document storage, resulting in the loss of all sorts of important papers, one of which was the original purchase documents for my property, a third floor flat just north of london.
So now I come to remortgage it, and I have no idea who the freeholder is, how long the lease is, and there seems to be a lack of information on this topic.
The management company (CJ Delemere) claims they don't know, and can't help me.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you checked the Land Registry? If your flat is registered they may hold a copy of the lease or enough information for you to be getting on with.
Also, even if your flat isn’t registered, the freehold interest may be.0 -

Not yet, before spending money on the Land Registry website I'd hoped to find out if there were alternatives. I'm more than happy to do so if it will lead to a solutionProud to have dealt with my debts!

So I had a look on the land registry site, and when i plug in the adress it says there's two bits of a data, a leashold info (presumably me) and a freehold info, presumably the name I'm looking for.Proud to have dealt with my debts!

Well the initial search is free, a copy of the title is £3 and a copy of the lease is £7 so may be worth it for the sake of a tenner.0

It is £3! Hardly a major gamble.
It will tell you the name. It will not necessarily give you any contact details.0 -

Am I being incredibly dense?
I can't find any place to search for a copy of the lease. I can only find the 3£ options to find a title plan, a title register and a flood risk indicator on the site .Proud to have dealt with my debts!

Yep sounds right. Personally I’d get both titles and then apply to the Land Registry (using form OC2) for a copy of the lease (assuming the titles say they hold a copy).0 -
As advised above.
Seems strange the management company don't know. Who pays them? What do their annual accounts show?
Do you have no bank records of your ground rent payments, or do those go via the Management Company? In which case, what do they do with the money........?0 -

Neither title says the land registry is holding any data, but I do know the leaseholder is Connoly Homes. I shall be calling them tomorrow as I really don't have several weeks to wait faffing about with letters.
Thank you very much for your help.Proud to have dealt with my debts!

These are good questions, and my only answer is that the management company are as useless as a screen door on a spaceship. I wouldn't actually trust them to organise a !!!! up at a brewery, let alone anything important.Proud to have dealt with my debts!
