However seeing as NIP's are actually sent by regular mail it would be foolish to ignore any based on that!
I guess you could check up on it by contacting local police. I'm pretty sure they could tell you if you have an issue pending. I'd always be suspicious of demands for money via the mail.Sometimes my advice may not be great, but I'm not perfect and I do try my best. Please take this into account.0 -

But a NIP is not a demand for money. It simply tells you that the driver of car XXX is accused of an offence. It is usually accompanied by a request to name that driver.
Until the driver is identified, they don't know to whom the demand for money should be addressed!0
