Contact lens suggestions

I have been wearing for over 25 years now but Im dissatisfied with my current brand (which I have had for 12-months now).

The brand is Freshlook Dailies from Vision Direct. They are Grey lens.

The problem is they are so fragile they tear and rip even on first use.

Any suggestions for daily wear coloured contacts.

Yes. There is listed large suppliers, like Vision Direct etc, which I purchased from.

Was hoping for personal recommendation of a decent brand.

As contact lens wearers will know, price is just a part and water content is crucial too which the guide doesnt touch.

As far as I know the only other daily coloured lens on the market is Acuvue Define.

The problem is by changing brand you will stuggle to match the colour exactly.

I assume you are reusing them as you comment on first use - Dailies are not designed to be reused - and I certainly wouldn't advise it with a coloured contact lens.

In generally coloured contact lenses are inferior in oxygen transmisiblity and comfort to other lenses.

You would have more options if you switched to monthlies but still not great range

Thanks. Generally I do not reuse unless I am away overnight and have forgotten replacements. It might be once every few weeks.

I used the term "first use" to highlight that its not second or nth use that even then they tear.

The main problem is they seem very fragile; much more than any of the contacts that I've used over the years.

The second issue is even if wearing for 3-4 hours it leaves my eyes dry. Again no something Ive encountered before.

Will hunt out some Acuvue Define for comparison

I switched from coloured lenses to plain dailies for eye health.

I’m with specsavers now on their monthly dd scheme. I’m a fan.

Can you go back to the ones prior to these blue ones? The ones you had 13 months ago.
