Hi, i signed up for a free trial with a now tv online pass. None the programmes on offer appealed to me and i decided to have a look another day. I didn't go back for a look, i also did not cancel after the free month and forgot i had this package.
I have never used the service but have been getting billed for it. Can anyone tell me my rights on this. I have looked at the web pages and forums for posts about now tv and this issue. I couldn't find any and the webpages here on consumer rights did not quite cover this either

That’s the reason for the free trial - if you don’t use, it’s up to you to cancel. If you didn’t, they have the right to charge you until you do.

Presumably you have now cancelled , Part of the reason company's like this offer a 'free' trial period, but you still have to provide payment details ( bank account/credit card number etc.) , is they hope you will use the service after the trial period, or forget you had the service, or cannot be ar*ed to cancel it after the trial.
If you didn't watch anything and even if they had a record of the fact you never watched you are still not due a refund,

It has been a useful thread...as it reminded me to cancel my NOW TV before the 6 month free offer expired ,now I've negotiated a renewal deal with Sky!!:T

I took up a free month for Amazon Prime a month ago and cancelled it down before the 2nd month started only to find out today they had already charged for the first month anyway...

Happily I've just received an email back refunding the £7.99 just a few minutes after emailing them about it, if only all companies were so on the ball.
