OK... I'll be buying one of those "Five Days of Meat for £5" and I'll report back on it to you all.:beer:0

I just thought of another positive thing about Farmfoods: shopping there instead of Asda or Morrisons means I won't be tempted to buy a bunch of stuff I don't need. This is not to say that there aren't tempting things at Farmfoods, but there is much less of it. At the very least, I won't be walking past clothes and makeup and stuff.
I am thinking of making some sort of price list onto which I can record the prices of things like laundry detergent or whatever so I'll know what is really a good price when I see it.:beer:0 -
You can pick up some real bargains in farmfoods they sometimes do freshh cheap fruit too. And there smoothies are delish! One little word to the wise is to watch the colouring and preservatives in some of there foods and also the antibiotics in the chicken. I found that whilst some of it is cheap it's packed with stuff that makes my little darlings hyper!0

Our nearest is supposedly Norwich, although I can't seem to get info on it from the Farm Foods page.
Just wondering, for those with access to both a Farm Foods and Iceland - is one any better than the other overall or is it a matter of give and take between the two?0 -
I like Farmfoods but find that I am tempted to buy all the Birds Eye and other packaged foods which taste nice but are probably not as good for you as making from scratch. I buy the oven chips, frozen steamfresh rice (great because it is in single portions), frozen peas, frozen lamb legs, Birds Eye simply chicken (the kids love it;) ), Ben and Jerrys ice cream and I also get some dried and canned foods there. You can get lots of stuff really cheaply I find.Jane

What i love is the one off things that appear every now and then on the shelves like a mexican cinema box which was nachos, taco sauce, sour cream sauce with little cut out bits you slotted the different bits into so you could eat in the dark.Noodles are cheap and the pasta n sauce go down well. The 60p and reduced bits are always worth checking out I got some of the best Thai prawn curries 3 for £1 this side of Bangkok.Love 'em!"Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

I forget how good Farmfoods is because actually, am embarrassed to say, I hate the look of the shops. They always look so poor. But, there's no getting away from the bargains. I got a six pack of diet pepsi for £1.25 the other week. What a saving.Grocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0

I was very reluctant to shop at farmfoods as I thought it was very downmarket but in an efford to save money I thought I would give it a go I have only bought brand named frozen fish/nuggets but they have bigger family size packs and chaeper than tesco. Also very cheap for groceries jam 2 for 1.00 crisps bread and milk. To be honest if it cheaper than tescos I now shop anywhere lidl aldi netto. I keep a note of prices in tesco so if something is cheaper elsewhere I will buy there. Mr T thinks I have deserted him as he keeps senting extra point vouchers.0
