password manager

I have been using Keepass v2 for years and it works well. Not just for browsers either because it can work with many programs using the autotype feature.
There are pile of plugins on the Keepass website which add functionality such as cloud storage, something which I avoid, database backup to different locations in case a hard drive fails etc.
Keefox works well with Firefox Browser and there are other plugins so that logins are filled with other browsers.0 -
Using KeePassXC (Lastpass compatible manager)
it's free on pc's and mobiles.
Just wish their was a manager with better browser integration. You know uses LastPass compatible DB and has you can right click in the password box and tell to autofill in a new random password, instead of jumping between programs!!
Did you try KeeFox?0 -
Being totally paranoid, I like the fact that KeePass doesn't integrate with anything. I like it to be separate for the most sensitive stuff like banking.
I let the browser's own password system keep passwords for less sensitive things like forums etc.0 -

Yes I do the same as you.
Opera is my main browser and Avast keeps prompting me to use their browser for better protection on password protected sites.
You only need the computer login password to show all the passwords used in Opera which could be better but is Avast's browser any improvement?0 -
Just taken a look at it.Did you try KeeFox?
Probably won't install it.
I've had problems with Mono installs in the past and took and age to fix ended up doing a wipe and reinstall of my Linux box!!
Might give it a go later. Going to do a clean install of Ubuntu 17.10 at the weekend.Laters

That's why i put in "LastPass compatable" it's then possible to mount and dismount the LastPass database (with the more secure passwords) it as needed.
leaving the less secure Browser database to store others.
But It's mainly the random password generation i'd like to see integrated into a browser!Laters

I have it running on all my linux installations. IIRC the easiest is to install "mono-complete".
Upon every update of Keefox you need to copy KeepassRPC.plgx from the extension directory to /usr/lib/keepass2 manually. Since I'm the only user on my PCs I just made a symlink in this folder and don't need to worry about this anymore.0
