Hi guys,
I am just looking for some help with something as I am really hopeless with this kind of thing.
I was recently declined for an account with Barclays, however the next day I received a call advising that they were able to give me a basic account.
The next day I received a brown paper envelope with the terms and conditions of the account, plus my sort code and account number inside. However the envelope was really poor, it had ripped at the bottom and the top and Royal Mail had therefore placed it inside one of it's bags with an apology. The letter with my account number and sort code was on top of the envelope inside the bag and was clearly visible.
I understand that Royal Mail might have damaged the letter when posting, however the envelope was EXTREMELY thin and was not suitable for the weight of the policy documents inside the letter.
Would this be grounds for complaint?

You can complain about anything you want.

You can always complain. They may argue it was the Royal Mail who screwed up.
What do you want to achieve as part of your complaint? What's your desired outcome?0 -

No one can do much with your sort code and account numbers, except perhaps pay some money into your account . .0
