Hello beautiful diary friends,
Thankyou hettyhound everything went as planned.
We still need to go back to the flat and sort some stuff out and paint it out.
Our next goal is to get £10,000 in our savings.
We will know how much we are starting with once we have paid the last rent payment on the flat and I have had my first month's full wage.
Hope you are all well.

Good evening my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well and life is being good to you.
I realised today. I've reached a point in my life where I have nothing to complain about. :j no sadness. Just pure happiness and contentment.
I'm in a job I love, and I know I'm very lucky as I don't know many people that can say they love there job these days.
We have a beautiful home. The type of home I use to dream about. I feel so blessed to be in this situation I'm currently in.
In other news our first mortgage payment goes out on the 2nd of July.
The sofa bed got delivered today so we have a sofa in the lounge and once our sofa comes in August the sofa bed is going in the spare room / second lounge.
Internet also got connected today .
We have decided we are going to get the floorboards sanded and waxed or oiled in the lounge (currently have carpet) this is something that isn't needed in a hurry so will be done after we have got our £10k in the bank.
I also need to make it priority to save for another car due to the millage cap on our current leased car. (just add fuel type).
We are going to sit down together one night soon and go through all our expenses now we have a much bigger house and I have high commuting costs (although I do get travel allowance at work to help towards this).
We managed to source a uniform second hand for free for the eldest. Middle son is going to a different school so we need to sort his uniform out.
On a financial update we are doing okay :j

Morning beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well. Hugs to those that need or want one.
I got my last wages from my old job today. So I've transferred it to go towards July's bills.
We have been going to the local baby groups with ds2 and DD.
Ds1 is enjoying his new school.
Ds2 should start. School in July
I think we should be able to cover the last rent payment and first mortgage payment (higher than normal) out of our bills money without touching our savings *fingers crossed*
I have work later today. Same as yesterday and again tomorrow as I'm on late shifts this week.
As of July I'll be writing out a budget (a no spend /low spend / frugal budget)June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -

Hi apple muncher thanks for stopping by and posting. He had an interview this week. Waiting to hear back and has applied for a few jobs fingers crossed he gets something. He's always had low pay / minimum wage jobs but he's also always been very frugal because of this he has too much in savings to be Able to claim job seekers. Like what I'm aiming for he wanted financial security. I started off my adult life like my mum spending more than I had coming in. I then got I'll with my bipolar and exceeded even more debt resulting in me joining this forum. In the last 2/3 years I have adapted my dad's mindset more and it's being frugal thats allowed us to achieve everything we have so far. :money:
Our mortgage payment went out and I really want to start overpaying but I know a decent emergency fund is a must especially as we now own a property.
We also got our £500 bonus from n@tioneide for having a mortgage with them so that has gone straight to savings..
