    So abit of an update.
We get the keys on the 10th and move on the 18th. It's been rushed forward , I was going to plan moving around my shifts at work but work aren't giving me a start date now until after we have moved . I've completed all my training and need to start as soon as possible and the 18th is the soonest the removal company could get us in.
    Fingers crossed all goes well.

  • Not working until after we move also means that I will miss a few weeks pay. Unless I can get anything with the agency. So it's frugal hats on and essential spends only to try and keep as much in the savings as possible. Until I get my first full month's pay.

  • New sofa ordered for the new house. Delivery won't be until possibly August but we will survive until then.
    Tax credits updated.
Have messaged the agency to see if they have any shifts for between now and when we move. Anything is better than nothing.
    Rearranged eldests hospital appointment.
Slowly getting things crossed off my list.

Just to explain and prevent any confusion. I started training at my new job two weeks ago . And was going to start my Shadow shifts and then be rota'd on straight after but due to moving they were going to put off me starting my Shadow shifts and rota me on till after but now I am starting my Shadow shifts tomorrow and then I start on the rota the end of next week so my pay shouldn't be too much lower than normal on my first few pays.

Sent DP to the shop for milk and electric.

Put all my shifts in the calender . Fingers crossed I've put them all in right :o

I'm going to be having an early night tonight.

Off to watch a film with the kids before they go to bed .

    Xx

debtaghh thankyou I'm very much relieved. :)

Day off today lots of jobs to do!

    Also big news
Our mortgage is showing up on internet banking :) with its balance. It's kind of nice to know that today is the day I will see our mortgage at its highest amount. It also tells us the amount of interest charged I feel that will be a great motivator. :)

We are on the way to the skip and to do any other jobs we can fit in before picking ds2 up at 12 from school.

Have. A good day everyone I'll update later with how today went

Good evening my beautiful diary friends ,

We got everything we wanted to get done today.

Viewings booked at the local primary schools.

The seller of the property we are buying is leaving the built in wardrobes in one of the bedrooms for us.

We took the books we had from the local library back. Did two skip runs , put fuel in the car. Picked up the kids new home presents. Picked up the form for us to end our tenancy at the flat. Put everything in the car we are going to take to the new house on Monday.

My dad is gifting us a lamp that he no longer wants for our lounge. The sofas are being delivered in August so we just need to find a coffee table and buy a TV bracket and the lounge is done to make it nice to begin with. We will paint it and add cushions and curtians and change the carpet at a later date.
The bedrooms we will do one at a time starting at the top of the house and working our way down. The bathroom and kitchen will be done once we have the funds. Possibly the end of next year or the year after.

I know it will be perfect when it is all finished but we are in no rush. Getting an emergency fund built back up is first priority. I am very much in the mindset of getting as much as possible second hand and upcycling to fit our decor.

It's all very exciting. And it will be nice to not feel so cramped although I do enjoy the fact that we are all kind of forced (in a nice way) to spend a lot of time together due to living In a small property at the moment and I know we will probably loose that a little and be more spread out at the new house for sure.

I'm going to make the time when we move to have half an hour to myself every morning before the rest of the house wake up to do some yoga or meditate.

We have been continuously researching the local area making plans to fill up or calander to get involved as much as possible with the local community.

I'm on an early shift the day after the removal company drop everything off to us. And I'm suppose to be working the day the removal men drop everything off but work are going to swap that shift for me :)

2 and a bit more days until we get the keys :j

Really enjoyed my first Long day shift yesterday.

    Today my must dos are.
    Go and see my nana
    Finish my online training
    Sort the laundry

This morning we have watched a film and made a tray bake.

Watching the interest slowly increase on our mortgage is a bit daunting but I'm sure I won't feel so anxious when I start to see the balance decrease.
    Yesterday was a NSD.
