It all depends. Some of us have been selling for years and have 'grandad' rights. I for instance have absolutely no selling limits on my main 3 selling accounts, no limits on 3 other mainly unused accounts and only my very new buying account which I set up for emergency selling has a limit of something like 200 items a month or £6000 whichever is lower.
Even my main 2 private accounts both receive the 100 a month 'free' listings, not that I use them as I tend to concentrate on my main business accounts. All of them use 2 paypal accounts, including the ones I use purely for buying, all with my correct name and address, all with linked bank accounts or cards in my correct name.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think the problem here is that the OP originally had their account at the same address as their banned brother. They only changed the address after their account was restricted.
The OP now needs to use every legal option open to them to force ebay to unrestrict the account.
Even ebay are not above the Law even if they think they are.Never Knowingly Understood.

I'm not aware of any law that can force a shop or site to allow access to someone they have chosen to ban?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It's quite possible to live life without an ebay account...and the idea that there is some sort of legal requirement which will 'force' ebay to accept a seller when they don't want to is nonsense.0 -

Is that the [STRIKE]non-existent but[/STRIKE] oft quoted "Because I want to" law that seems to come into play whenever someone is brought up short against something perfectly justified?0 -

Further to my earlier answer it is not only ebay that pick and choose who uses them. Gambling/bookmaker sites are quick to ban accounts they don't like, for whatever reason, you can be banned on Amazon for quite a few minor reasons and any financial site would use a set of guidelines and Identity criteria before they allowed someone to sign up. These are just a randon few I can think of
I am struggling to see what ebay can possibly have done illegally here.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
