BT YouView+ box

We are currently with BT (broadband, landline) and have a BT YouView+ (T2100) box. Virgin have very recently installed fibre broadband capability to our area and I am wondering, if we move to Virgin fibre broadband (no box) and ditch our BT landline (which we very, very rarely use), will we still be able to use the YouView+ box to record Freeview channels like a Freeview+ HD recorder?

yes, it will still work, the only thing you wont be able to get is the BT specific stuff that you need a subscription for, but all the freeview and catchup stuff can be used0
