Help with Stanley boiler please

Hi,

I have recently moved into a house that has oil heating from a Stanley oil fired twin series which then has a Honeywell system attached to it.

The house is sooo warm we just can't seem to maintain a nice temperature. The Stanley is set to about 60 degrees and the Honeywell is set to auto. Is run and then auto.... Does this mean it's clicking on and off when room temperatures think it's needed?

If I set the system to day/time I'm presuming this means it'll only fire up during those times? (I suppose like settings on a gas central heating system?). Is it ok doing this or will it make the system soot up more?

The Honeywell room setting system is set for 6-8am and 4-8pm but the Stanley seems to fire up outside of these times. For instance our bedroom radiator comes on at random times throughout the day, the room should be set to 16 degrees, but it's constantly showing as 22 degrees.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
