The card statement should be enough you need proof of purchase it does not have to the the receipt0

I've found the payment on my credit card statement, but as I suspected I bought more stuff, so the debit is for a sum about £4 more than the item in question.
I assume from the responses that despite having no positive evidence, you all think Lidl are entitled to think I nicked it - and I think most of you think I did too, which is more than a bit upsetting. So I'm on a hiding to nothing even though the item is faulty?
You could have bought it over 6 months ago so it would then be up to you to prove it was inherently faulty.
Take it back with the card statement. This is sufficient as proof of purchase. Their system should be able to trace the sale.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
What I do with electrical items is staple the receipt inside the user guide/ manual, and write on the front 3 year warranty or whatever it is.
Unless you are a Marie Kondo fan and then you have most likely binned all the paperwork.;)0 -

No one has suggested you nicked it, they're giving you the shop's point of view, you may have nicked it, or bought it off ebay, or Tom Thumb down the pub.
You real shouldn't get yourself worked up about a few anonymous comments on the internet.0 -
