Verification emails not received

Morning all.
I just wondered if anyone else doesn’t receive the emails sent by competitions to verify your address and enter you in to the competition.
For instance I just entered an “in the snow” comp, after submitting, it said please check the email we sent you to confirm your email address - but I’ve had no email. And nothing in my spam folder either.
This happens on quite a few comps like this. Does it mean I’m. It not actually entered?

If you don't verify when required you are almost certainly not entered.
If you use a form filler check your e-mail address is correct.
If you do not use a main e-mail provider set one up and try a competition using Gmail/outlook etc and see if you get confirmation (my preference is Gmail but I don't have problems receiving on outlook/hotmail or Yahoo either)0 -
Which email provider are you using? I used to use virgin media, but they filter emails, so if a company or server that the company use are on their 'spam' list, you won't get them. This includes some big reputable companies - I found out due to winning something with National Lottery, they phoned me because I hadn't replied to their emails (not a mega prize unfortunately).TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
I too was going to ask which provider you are using for email. I used to be with Yahoo mail and discovered a similar thing that many emails were not being received. I spent ages communicating with Yahoo re this to which they denied all knowledge that this could happen. I proved it was happening as my husband was even sending me emails which were not arriving in my inbox.
I therefore ditched Yahoo and moved to Gmail and have not had a problem since. The best things in life are free.....0
