Lots of conjecture on here that decent products (and features of decent products) are being withdrawn due to the MSE affect.
Do you now have second thoughts about sharing info in case it impacts you?

On where? For example?0 -

There is a financial product I have that I never mention on these boards. It was meant to be withdrawn some time ago, but for some reason a small number of customers seemed to slip through the net and have kept it. I've been tempted a couple of times to mention it, but I'm paranoid that the provider hasn't realised there are still some remaining customers and they might pull it.
And no, I'm not telling you what it is!!0 -
As a very frequent reader of the forum I cant say I have ever seen anything like this. Perhaps I read the wrong threads.0

I've mentioned a few things in the past for people to one way or another say to me i basically shouldn't be advising it, i should be keeping it for myself kind of thing.
ATEOTD i think banks surely can't be THAT stupid. They'll surely be aware of how things are being exploited so in time will make it harder or remove the product. The Halifax reward would be one example. £5 really simple money to having to jump hurdles for a measly £3, or £4.50, or £6 depending however you look at it.0 -
I expected EUT to beat the market when it looked undervalued https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/70923897#Comment_70923897 and it did - eventually.
But it didn't appear to make any difference to the share price after posting it on here“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0 -

It's happened a few times, but most noticeably recently with the alleged change to a certain savings product.
It is primarily savings related rather than investment related I believe.0 -
I have tried to give help to people in the last few years, but despite they having no knowledge of investing I have been ignored, and they do what they want anyway. So these days for the most part if it's friends I just let them get on with it.
On the forum, I still give my thoughts, but I certainly wouldn't call it advice, for legal reasons.0 -
I hope it works the other way too. With banks and building societies likely looking at these boards, I hope they get a better idea of what makes a great product. Could be wishful thinking, but there's always hope. :-)0
