No, its the filthy petrols too. :beer:0 -

The conclusion was that newer cars may fool the lab or test track but in the real world they are quite different toxicity wise.
Well the simple answer for those small amount of people is to get a Euro IV compliant car. Given they've been making them since around 2005 there is no need for anyone to have to spend big money on doing so0 -

It was a 1997 Golf petrol versus a 2009 Skoda TDI - which at 8 years old was never going to win any anti pollution awards.
Chances are it was only a Euro IV compliant car anyway so hardly laying a very big egg with his conclusion0 -

TFL website seems to think my car (2005 Golf 1.6 FSI) is a Euro3 when in reality it's a Euro4 compliant according to Directgov website. Seems the left hand isn't talking to the right...or is it just a money making scheme, I wonder??0 -

The new charge only runs 7 til 6 so,plenty of public transport available then.
You,obviously misread the article as the actual results showed the older petrol to be terrible, the newer diesel wasn't as bad and in certain circumstances better than brand new vehicles.0 -

No need to splash out too much, we have an 2002, 1.2l Corsa in the household and that is not subject to the T charge. I doubt if I could sell it for much more than £100.0 -

As an insider, I'd agree.0 -

Good old Vauxhall! Our 2002 Zafira (!) 1.8 Petrol also complies, apparently.0
