Hi,
I've had a look through the newbie thread and I'm slightly unsure as to what part of the thread my scenario relates to.
I've got an LBC from Gladstones Solicitors on behalf of their client WY Parking Enforcement Limited to the sum of £150. If anyone could direct me to the relevant thread regarding how to tackle this situation I'd be most grateful.
Thank You

the newbies sticky thread , post #2 has details on fighting an LBC as well as MCOL information
these are not "fines"
its an invoice , a Parking Charge Notice, or PCN for short0 -
I did as you said and it led me to a thread created by f.akhtar (can't post the link as I'm a newbie).
Should I be writing a similar letter to that of Coupon-mad? Also should I write to the parking enforcement company directly or should I reply to Gladstones Solicitors?
Thank you for your help in advance.0 -
adapt the daniel-san one from october 2017 , seeing as the new protocols are in place from this month
send it to their solicitors, because they are acting on behalf of their PPC client
ie:- you reply to those who have written to you , rebuking their LBC0 -
Thanks for the help. I'll get onto it and keep you abreast of any new developments.
Just a quick question, do you know what the chances are of Gladstones taking this all the way to court?0 -
You will know from reading any other Gladstones threads. They either ruin the case at hearing stage and our posters win, or they occasionally discontinue.
Either way, expect a hearing and expect to win.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

its a long , long way from a court case
court is in 2 parts, the initial MCOL which is highly likely , then if the claim and defence are accepted by the CCBC and a local court is allocated, they have to pay another fee before its a "live" court claim
more details on the MCOL website
its HIGHLY LIKELY that the MCOL will be issued for the initial court fee
The rest is uncertain but quite a lot make it to the courtroom
you should expect the worst and hope for the best0 -
Forgive me but I have absolutely no idea what either MCOL or CCBC stand for. Sorry, I'm completely new to this stuff.0

post #5 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread
or google them
the MCOL comes from the CCBC (similar to the DVLA)0 -
Thank you again for all your help.0

I adapted the letter you mentioned and received a response from Gladstones with included images. What is the next step I should be taking and can you direct me to the relevant thread.
Thanks.0
