How do you know when a relationship has run it's race.

When you rather have out than to work on it (after trying and going round in circles a few times).0

When you realise their unacceptable behaviour, whatever that is, will never change.0

What if you feel your race is run but it's in your long term best interest to stay?

It's important to me to never be financially dependent on anyone so if it was just a case of being able to afford a better lifestyle then I'd still walk. I can afford a comfortable lifestyle on my own. My health would ultimately suffer more in the long term from forcing a situation that wasn't right so again I'd walk.Homeowner:j0 -

I know.
But many people did it 30 years ago.
People married people they didn't even love because it provided a better life for them. Whether that be financially or having a family.

I got married for the first time almost 45 years ago and I - and all my contemporaries - did it for love.0 -
You may have but not everyone. You would be very naive to believe everyone marries for love.
There's lots of people who marry because they are running out of time to have a family or that by being married provides them with a financial secure partnership. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
