Holiday location ideas - 2 weeks/£2k per person budgt

We’re looking for holiday ideas for a 2 week holiday next July.
We want a change from the typical 2 weeks in an all inclusive hotel.
We have a teenager, so we want something that she would also enjoy.
Our budget is max £2k per person (not inc spending money).
Anywhere considered, as we really want to try somewhere different.
Thanks

Which 2 weeks in July?
What does your daughter like doing on holiday?
How old will she be next August?
Is she studying any languages for GCSE?
What do you like doing on holiday?
Do you want to stay in one place or do 2 or more places?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
The world is your lobster.
You'll have to give some idea of background and interest as things currently stand then you could literally pick half the world.0 -
Florida - parks and shopping one week and beach the second. You could even do a week in New York City and onto the beaches in Florida.
Sailing around the Greek islands - http://www.sailingholidays.com
Interrail around Europe.
Far East - stopover in Singapore/Hong Kong and onto Bali.
As above, it really depends on what you like, age of the teen and how adventurous you are.0 -
As the holiday runs in to school holiday time, I’m not sure the budget will stretch as far as you may think.
As much as we love Florida, we’ve done it before and want to go somewhere different.
We would like the option of having a few chill days in the sun, but with options to have places to visit, things to do on other days.
My teenager will be 16 and does enjoy sports, but hates long car journeys!
She’s also the fussiest eater ever!0 -

Switzerland: lakeside sun-bathing is as good as a beach.
Does your daughter enjoy train journeys? Switzerland offers many of these, often through spectacular mountain landscapes with on-board observation cars.0 -
Days to enjoy the sun, days to see places and a choice of of food for a fussy eater?
Cruise ship ticks all those boxes.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions. I will look in to a cruise. As long as I can find one where I don’t have to dress up every night. I usually live in casual stuff!0

You can be a casual cruiser with Thomson...

Sicily. Stay by the beach, eat Italian food, go walk around some craters up Mount Etna and go see some historical sights. If you take a trip to the island of Volcano you can bath in the sulphuric mud for just a few euros and then wash off in the sea, or you could take a twilight boat ride and watch for lava eruptions at Stromboli.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
