If you can push your budget a little bit (an extra £20), the Moto E4 plus might suit your needs. May not run the latest and greatest games, but should run everything else ok. The only downside is it probably won't get updated to Android O.

I currently have an unlocked Vodaphone Smart Ultra 6 on EE. However, after 2 years the phone is running slow despite factory refresh.

    Thank you

I also have an unlocked smart ultra 6 on ee. It's still running great. Try a factory reset not a refresh.

Thank you for your help. I've done that. I also thought about rooting the phone but that's no rims better than the 6.01 stock one

Couldn't agree more. For me, it has the two essential features I needed.
    1. Decent RAM of 4G
    2. Huge battery life. Twice the power of rivals and whereas my previous Huawei Pl Lite lasted a day, usually, the Motorola lasts two and a half days.

The RAM is 2GB. Even on the plus version it's 3GB. Unless, that is, you're extremely confused about specs!
The 5Ah battery on the Plus is huge, but these two excellent specs are badly let down by the fact that it's non-removable and that the screen res is only 720 x 1280 pixels.

    So what do you recommend?

There's Cubot X18 has good specs but not many sales.
The Moto E4 plus looks to be a good phone with good reviews
  • Still haven't found what I'm looking for 😥

If you don't mind getting a phone from China, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Global Version, 32gb or 64gb version.
