Parking Charge Notice (Relevant Period)

Like many, apologies if this has already been posted but searches did not find the exact results.

Through my door this morning I received a PCN from ParkingEye dated 17 Oct for a parking incident on 31 July, which also has a photo image confirming that date.

So my question is, is it reasonable to issue a PCN 79 days after the incident? According to the code of practice it suggests notification within a 'relevant period', this seems open to abuse to me.

Ok, so I was being too specific with searches and hitting the wrong things. Now I know, as you say there are dozens of them.

Thanks for the information, it's quite clear that this up there for appeal and i've just gone through that process on the web site.
