Private Parking Ticket

Options
I over stayed in a M& S are park 47 mims in June. I have today 19/10/2017 received a note from parking eye asking for £100.00.
My query is, should I have been notified earlier or can they sent an invoice for £100.00 when they feel like it, or is there a time limit as to when notice must be served.

edit the above to remove any hint of who was driving or may have overstayed

the DRIVER may have overstayed, nobody else

they have 6 years to send an invoice , but if they wish to use POFA2012 they had 14 days to send it, so they failed POFA2012 and cannot hold a keeper liable

they have 6 years to pursue anybody who blabs about being the driver

you appear to have a "golden ticket"

you can use this blue text appeal as keeper on their website

They have up to six years to chase an alleged debt.

Now you are caught up in this, you should start reading the NEWBIES sticky/pinned thread where post #1 tells you how to appeal.

Also do a forum search on ‘ParkingEye Golden Ticket’ and read a number of other recent threads where PE seem to have messed up sending out their NtKs and are therefore unable to hold the keeper liable.

Follow the advice in those threads, especially those which got as far as POPLA and where PE have discontinued when they’ve been rumbled on no Keeper liability.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

This is everywhere right now - read another thread exactly the same. These are SO EASY.

PE obviously had a problem with their ANPR data processing system. I hear that Ranger Services allegedly had a complete melt-down recently, maybe PE did too.
