Sky help!

Options
Hi
I am having a right brain melt over this! It's a bit complicated sorry! So,, I have moved into a new house and the sky box / cables etc are all in the front living room. However I want to move the tv into the back living room as my beloved sofa won't fit in the front living room!! I bought a wireless transmitter from Amazon so you can watch tv in different rooms which seems like a great piece of kit. Unfortunately though I've realised I will still need the sky cables to go in the wall in the front living room as well into the tv so I cannot move the tv without having to trail a REALLY long wire all around the skirting boards and the doorframes to reach the tv in the back living room - potentially unsightly I think.

So, now I am thinking of getting SKY Q which could solve the problem but would I still need a tv in the front living room in order for the sky box to function??? sorry if none of this makes sense! any help given would be VERY apprciated! Thank you!!!

Just had skyq installed great product,i believe you can add a sky product to this to transmit to another tv.called skyq mini boxes.
You could also get sky to install a new dish and cable to other room.

Was the product from Amazon a firestick?

thanks for replying! yes am considering getting sky to re-route cables. Will it be expensive? or a right faff though? I am seriously considering Sky Q but that's like another £12 on top of everything else - am convinced there must be a cheaper way to solve this. No, wasn't a fire stick. Was a wireless transmitter using HDMI cables. Looks really good but I just didn't think about the fact that my actual tv will still have to be plugged into sky box!

Have you taken a Sky housemove? If so, you will be in a new minimum term so can't threaten to cancel to get a free visit from Sky fitter.
Get an independent satellite TV installer to quote for running new cables to back room? Got to be cheaper than an upgrade to Q and a one off cost:)

Sky Q requires an engineer visit whether you already have a dish or not - it uses a new type of LNB (the bit in the middle of the dish) that they have to change. If the cabling or dish isn't much good, they may replace those. I don't think it's too far a stretch for them to install into a different (not additional) room just like a new install. As long as it's not any more complex as the other room.
