I bought a 2nd hand recliner on eBay recently. After about 4 hours normal use in total, the chair snapped off the base pole. I can’t post pictures for some reason but it’s broken off right at the top of the swivel base tube. Is it possible to fix this at all with replacement parts or is the chair a write off? I took the plate and tube down a local welder and the guy there did it in 15 minutes for £8. Looks like a more solid job the the original as well.
