A completed To do list. For me this is the stuff dreams are made of. I can't recall when that last happened to me.
I had forgotten that naps affect some people by making night sleeping difficult.
I also forget to say your happy boobs comment made me laugh. Completely true nothing more, well, uplifting, than a new bra.
Yes, leaving a job is always a strange experience. I hope they spoil you a littleIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

100% the stuff dreams are made of! I actually don't think I can ever remember managing a whole one :rotfl: They actually did spoil me! I hadn't been expecting anything other than a card, but they got me: a bottle of fizz, chocolates and an ASOS voucher. Very lucky! The card almost made me well up a bit as well. I disliked the job, a lot, but my team were lovely.
Now I just need to try not to drink the fizzAF for 5 days and not wanting to ruin that. So frustrated that I'd gone 8/9 months then mucked it up
Last payslip was available today and am getting paid a whopping £500  If I hadn't done overtime in December it would have been around £400. Things are going to be very lean for the forseable. I also hadn't clarified with the new job when payday will be with them so not actually sure how long we will need to live off that. Am going to ask my Dad if we can start paying digs next month rather than as soon as we get there. Hopefully he will say yes! If not we will manage, but it would likely mean using one of my overdrafts.
We will be living up a hill, with no car, so am thinking that impulse trips to the supermarket for snacks will be reduced and this should save a fair bit of money!
Feeling excited, nervous and a wee bit sad. OH in a bit of a funny mood which is making me feel off. I wish he would let me know what he's thinking a bit more... But I don't want to pester him too much as I feel like I just start annoying him
Will likely not be on tomorrow, but will be back in the next few days with an English updateTotal Debt : ?? / ??0 -

Hello from sunny England!
Drive down was, thankfully, uneventful. Although OH and I had a bit of a fall out... He was in a terrible mood about leaving and was already talking about when we can move back again and it really got me upset. It's like he's already decided he hates it here but hasn't given it a chance. Anyway, hopefully he will feel a bit better once we're all unpacked.
Handed the van back at Gatwick yesterday and there were no additional charges which was good. I was sure they were going to try and charge us for some scratches the van had before we got it.
House is in state of disarray - boxes everywhere and no idea where anything is  My inventory is not as useful as I had expected :rotfl:
Yesterday we shuffled the bedrooms about (as my Dad wants the larger bedroom but had been in the small one) and brought in our sofa. It's actually looking really good, despite living in a shed for the last year and a half!
Am just waiting for OH to wake up so we can go a walk. There's some stepping stones and a vineyard a little walk away so I want to just wander around and try and relax as am feeling quite stressed and nervy for tomorrowMy Dad wants to come so I think we will go for a pub lunch too.
Silver Queen and Lucifa  Nosey parkers :rotfl: haha! It's near box hill in Surrey. I'll leave it at that for now, but may divulge more at a later date!
Today:
1. Go to the train station to sort out ticket
2. Unpack clothes / makeup / hair stuff
3. Find passport / notebook / calculator / pens and pack into handbag
4. Shower
This will be a toughy - had a shower yesterday but didn't wash my hair. The shower is really awful.... the water just drips out of it. There's no water pressure and I have no idea how I'm going to get my hair cleanI will maybe take a measuring jug I have and fill that up with water from the sink. Not sure!
5. Take down blinds in bedroom and clean windows (they are mouldy )
6. Go to the shops to get something for lunch tomorrow
7. Lay out clothes for tomorrow
8. Have an early night
Will also try and get back on here this evening to check people's diaries :cool:Total Debt : ?? / ??0 -
Just dropped in to wish you look for tomorrow.
I struggle with our water pressure, so I fill the sink and plunge my hair in to give it a final rinse after I think it is clear. That or a jug and the bath.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Thanks redo, I used a jug over the sink for a final rinse and it worked a charm!
On the train to work (eek!) so nervy but excited at the same time. Had so much nervous energy I power walked to the station and got there 10 minutes early. Will maybe pop into a shop when I get there. I was aiming to be at the office 15 mins early but 25 is a bit too keen!
Will be back later with an update :cool:Total Debt : ?? / ??0 -
Hope all goes well xxx0
