Thank you Dusty and DIA :):o

I am feeling very proud... It was my biggest debt and seemed a bit impossible at one point! I did cheat a bit though by balance transferring some of it to the Virgin card a few months ago.... I had been worried I wasn't going to clear it before the interest free period runs out in September. Potentially wasn't necessary as I should clear the Virgin one in September anyway, but it gave me less to worry/stress about.

OH applied for some jobs! Hallelujah! Feeling happy as I think he was getting in a bit of a funk not doing anything... Will be very nice to have some extra income as well.

Weighed myself in Boots yesterday and lost 2 kilos  Body fat down as well... My BMI is edging closer and closer to normal range! Makes up for last week... Old lonely would have gotten disheartened and probably binged on food or alcohol (or both) but not now :o Have a mini goal for when we go to Arran and I'll hit it if I manage to lose 1.6 kg in the next 15 days. Don't want to get too overexcited BUT I do think I'll manage it.

Just getting ready for a walk now. Looks like it may rain so will bring my new Cagoule (£6.99 from Amazon :)) to test it.... Some reviews did say it wasn't as waterproof as you would like so I want to test it and send back if need be.

Got some good news - Email back from Easyjet saying they have sent me the info I need for my insurance claim.... Only been 4 months since I first contacted them :rotfl: Once I receive what I need I can send off all the paperwork and hopefully get my £260 back ASAP!

Ooh, £260! Will you put it all to debt or will you keep a % back for a treat?

Hmmm Doingitanyway I'm not sure...I want to say all to debt but then I feel like I'll probably end up spending it on something else :o We'll see when it is I actually end up getting it back as it might still be a few months away yet :rotfl:

Didn't rain today so couldn't test the cagoule, but looks like it will tomorrow so will aim to go a walk after work. The walk today was good but really, really tiring... I have a suspicion I am coming down with something as my whole body is aching and my throat feels tight. I'm quite shivery as well :( I really, really dislike being sick so am going to keep my fingers crossed it passes overnight.

On that note am already tucked up in bed. Got some lavender oil burning and the fairy lights on. Going to watch some rubbish and hopefully nod off quickly :)

OH's mum taken to hospital this morning with an infection :( She's had a high temp and sore throat for a few days now but seems to have gotten worse. Hopefully she will only be in a few days, am quite worried :(

Feeling a bit meh... I think I'm a wee bit worried as I need to phone the doctor and get an appointment as am almost out of my meds and I get really nervous on the phone. I don't know why it's such an issue for me but calling people gives me the fear. They don't let you book an appointment in person which is a bit frustrating as it would make life so much easier. Last time I just kept putting it off and then left it too late to get an appointment so had to just get a prescription without actually seeing anyone so not sure if I'm on the right dosage or not. Just need to get it together and phone... Will do it tomorrow.

I also plan on removing photos from my phone, deleting all the rubbish stuff I screenshot and moving photos I want to keep to a hard-drive. This is something I've been putting off doing for about a month so am determined that tomorrow will be the day.

Went for a walk this evening with OH and the doggo (10,756 ) and got pretty heavily rained on.... Of course I had forgot to take the cagoule so I didn't get to test it and also I got very, very wet  Perhaps not the wisest course of action as I still feel under the weather :o

Moneywise I feel the best I've felt in a long time. I'm confident OH and I will make it through the month without touching the overdraft and have money set aside in my (tiny) savings pot for Arran.

Have bought our rail & sail tickets already so travel there and back is sorted. Will get us passes for the buses on the island which will cost £21 each  Will mean unlimited bus-ing though and £9 cheaper each than buying day tickets. B & B is already paid for so will only need money for lunch/ dinner/ fun-stuff. I think that there's a supermarket near the B & B so that should sort us for lunches I think. Am getting very excited (if you can't tell)!

In the next few days I'm going to sit down and roughly plan the main things (and walks) I want to do! OH is not too fussed with what we get up to as long as he is fed and watered. I'm such a planner and he's very, very relaxed :o

We will be doing the Goat Fell which will be our first mountain! Am feeling some trepidation about it... But am also excited and determined. Got blisters from my walking boots when we went up the whangie so will need to do something about that before we go as I don't want to be in the same boat again. Will maybe need to get some tape and I also read wool socks are good. Will need to test out some things in the next few weeks to get prepared.

Both DS1 and I get blisters on long walks, for me the solution has been walking socks from Aldi/Lidl. DS1 is better with those but still has the odd issue, he has a bit of moleskin padding (this type of thing) which works.

Sounds like a great break, I like doing the research up up front and thinking about what we might do.

Thanks so much for the tips redo! I may take a walk up to our Aldi today and see if they have any socks  I had read moleskin padding was good but now I'll be determined to get us some.

I love the researching! Gets me all amped up for what we're going to do! I don't mind if we deviate from the plan, but I like knowing there is a plan in place to deviate from :o

Things I definitely want to do:
    1. Goatfell
    2. Glenashdale Falls
    3. The Holy Isle
    4. Machrie Moor stone circles
    5. Kings Cave
    6. Castles - unsure which yet.
    7. Brewery and Distillery (for OH's benefit :rotfl:)

I've got a little book of walks to do so will see if I can have a skim through and find walks that tie up the different things I want to do/ see.

Feeling very poorly today... Shivering, couching and have a temperature. Not impressed. OH has got the shivers too and his poor dad had to go to hospital last night with heart palpitations. So that's the whole household sick... It doesn't rain, it pours!

    Sorry you are feeling poorly

Your walking schedule sounds exciting :)

I am stealing Redo's idea and I will be buying the walking socks for walking in Croatia (not that I even have waking boots :o)

    Take care of yourself today

I am very excited for it Doingitanyway :o Have gone noseying around online and in my walking guide and have got an itinerary sorted for us which covers most of what I was hoping to do... OH not too impressed as there are some very early morning starts! The way it seems to work with the buses means we need to head off really early otherwise we'll end up missing the last bus back to where the B&B is which I don't want to happen.

The walking socks do sound great! I went to my most local Aldi and they didn't have any, but will be going a bit further afield when I feel better and will check another one. If they don't have any I will take a trip to Lidl :) The aldeee I went to did have Walking boots which actually looked really solid - I know Croatia is a wee while away, but may be worth a shout if you want to try some that look decent quality for cheapish (£19.99).

Still feeling very under the weather. Woke up all snotty and cold and really struggled at work today with a sore head and the shivers. Am tucked up in bed already just hoping I feel a bit better tomorrow. Didn't hit my step goal yesterday or today but am not too fussed as I feel too rubbish to go the kitchen let alone on a big walk.

Off work tomorrow so will be resting up and hoping this passes ASAP.
