Help! Searching for New Virgin Optical Broadband package? (confused, so many packages

We want virgin broadband, optical is most preferred, but searching online there are so many websites/ packages online, so getting too much to research.

Here is the requirements of what we want:

We want Broadband only. (not sky, not Tv)
We have a BT telephone line.

We do have optical fiber in our area.

Here is what we have in our area, from an postcode check

Standard broadband Up to 17Mb
Fibre optic broadband Up to 300Mb

What to use it for?
for a 1 person household, youtube, browsing, searching, facebook,

______________

What are the main 2-3 minimum cost Virgin optical fiber packages with virgin?
and what router do you get with it?
and what are the package names? + websites

Have you had a virgin optical fiber broadband and are happy with it?

OP - I think that you first need to ascertain what service are available to you by which providers.

If you put your postcode into Samknows (samknows.com) it will tell you what services you can have.

Do you have a particular reason for wanting only Virgin Media?

If so, then you will need to look at their website, as mentioned by JJEgan above. They offer a number of packages at differing prices.

The speeds that you have quoted are not VM speeds, so I assume that you've been looking at the BT ADSL checker site (https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/)

The VM infrastructure is completely separate from the BT infrastructure, but you may want to get prices for using either.

I would recommend 50Mbps BB for you what I think its their lowest package.

Go thru the order process and see if your address and house number is listed as available.

It's better value to get a phone line too.

First year is around ~£32 / month
from then on it will rise to ~£40 unless you negotiate.

This company requires yearly negotiation (at least 3 phone calls a year! dealing will sales staff and sometimes a bit of grief) otherwise the price rockets.

P.S don't trust um after year 1. Check everything written down is what you expect it to be

You get a VM liteon router which MUST be returned to them.
