HSBC Advance account criteria Query

I just opened my first HSBC advance current account online. I was offered a 2k overdraft limit, which i reduced to £100.00 after reading the high interest rate (would of been nice to be offered a interest free overdraft). I did not take up their credit card application (three months interest free did not seem attractive either). My switching day is Friday 4th December, I have never banked with this bank before. I am closing down my santander bank account as part of the switching process, they use to be very competitive when i switched with them, but with the £5.00 monthly charge, and savings accounts now equal to 1.5% it seems a no brainier. I have a Halifax current account, but need to start a new DD with the account, to get the now £2.00 a month. I know this is slightly off the garden path, but I read above there are plenty of people who move money around other bank accounts, care to share???Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0

You'd probably be better off making a new thread, rather than posting on a dead one that gets periodically revived by the same person who keeps posting nonsense.
As for how to maximise switching bonuses... open new accounts and switch to them. Open a second current account with your main bank and just shuffle that around between banks to get all the switching bonuses :rotfl:
