PCN from Doncaster Airport

Options
Hi
I need advice: my partner get PCN from Doncaster Airport, CCTV photo (stopping on bus stop, 60£ in 14 days, 100£ after that) becouse he is the owner of car but i was driving that day.
On the begining i try to pay that but side myparkingcharge.co.uk did not let me to do that so after advice of our friend we ignore it. Now we get letter from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd for 160£ if we not pay they will advice client to take court action.

I read quite a lot on thes side and i know they have 6 years to take aby action but i do not want my partner have any problems becouse of me.

My questions are: 1. Do you thing i should contact with them and put myself as a driver?
2. If i do that which charge i will have to pay 60£, 100£ or 160£ ?
3. If we stiil ignore them and case go to court do my partner will have trouble becouse he did not notify driver?
I will be grateful for aby advice/ answers.
Thank you

    1) there is no keeper liability as bylaws apply so after 6 months the airport cannot take anyone to magistrates court

the keeper can name the driver and give their address at any time up until a court case is issued , so its one option

but the driver cannot hide behind POFA2012 , whereas the keeper can hide behind it

    2) the charge will be whatever can be negotiated, but in theory the higher charge of £100 , the rest has been added on by debt collectors (who can be ignored)

    3) no , if anyone is taken to court and loses , then pay the judgment IN FULL , its a civil matter , not a criminal matter , so nobody is "in trouble"

these companies dont take anyone to court because they know the courts will probably find against them , especially as POFA2012 does not apply and BYLAWS apply

so they dont take anyone to court for LJLA as well as your RHA

most people just ignore the empty threats

the debt collectors dont get paid a penny unless they can sc@m victimes into paying

    VCS?

Do some forum searches on Liverpool John Lennon Airport and follow the (ignore) advice from your results. Airport ticket never amount to anything other than ‘scary’ letters.

    How frit are you?

acronyms are explained in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread

    google will also help you

the IPC is their trade body (the other one is the BPA)

VCS have 6 YEARS to issue a court claim in CIVIL COURT

RHA have 6 months to issue court proceedings against the driver in the MAGISTRATES COURT

correct , many acronyms are used in this industry

and yes its a confusing issue , which they want to keep that way , hence why we get loads of LJLA threads and posts , but in your case we do get a few RHA but a lot less than LJLA

airports are governed by bylaws , totally different scenario

No need to be scared. Keep reading and the confusion will lift.

    In short:

Very little chance that this will progress beyond powerless debt collector letters.

Keep ignoring unless (extremely, extremely unlikely) that this gets to a LBCCC or real court papers.

Please do some research on acronyms (NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post # 5) and Google search on stuff like PoFA 2012.

    Hi

I need more advice: a month ago I get letter from Vehicle Control Service LTD : Letter Before Claim (in with they asking me to pay. The also added Estimated interest and court fees), the letter come also with Information sheet/Replay form and Standard financial statement.
    I ignored that letter.

Today a get Claim Form from County Court Business Centre, and I have 14 days to respond. I don't know how to fill it proper. I don't wont go to court and fight with them becouse the papers
are on my partner-he is the register keeper of vehicle, by I was driving.

    My question are:
    1) If I agree to pay full amount then my partner doesn't need to court and talk to juge?

    2) What mean : admit to amount....?

    3) If I wont to dispute - do we need to go to court?

    4) Where I can find lawyer or someone who will help me fill papers ? Is Citizen Advice helping in such cases ?

    Thanks for answers
