Transfer phone contacts

Currently using a Nokia Lumia 520 but hope to get a Nokia 5 which has an android OS. Is there a way I can transfer the contacts from the 520 to the Nokia 5. Probably not possible due to the incompatible OS, but can anyone give me some advise please

On your Lumia make sure that your signed into your Microsoft (or Google) account. This will sync your contacts and when you get your Nokia 5, just add your Microsoft account (or Google) and your contacts will appear.

This assumes you haven't done anything daft like save your contacts to the SIM or turn off sync.

Thank you for your reply. IF I understand it correctly, this will add my EMAIL contacts to my new phone. But will my contacts details also appear in my new phone's phone book. OR do I have to key them in again. Hope I'm making myself clear!!
  • Hi
Have you tried copying contacts on your phone or memory card and then transferring them through Bluetooth?

I'd also suggest Bluetooth. Doesn't matter about operating system, hardware, moving on a memory chip, synchronised accounts or anything.

For instance I used it to transfer from a Nokia E51 to an Android phone.

The E51 used to be backed up on the O2 website, but O2 stopped providing the facility. Google contacts should last longer, but even so I think Bluetooth is easier.

No, you've misunderstood. All your contacts will follow you, phone numbers, emails etc.
