Wow 10k since November is so inspiring!! Well done you :)

Weve just signed remortgage paperwork which drops our interest from 2.99% to 1.64% (£160 ish difference per month in interest alone!!!!) cant wait for the repayments to make even more of an impact.

Your figures are so inspiring- am off to play with my budget app and see if I can squeeze more OPs in :D

What fantastic progress! Well done .
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Definitely stuff to be proud of! All those little odds and ends really do add up and make a huge difference over time. Keep going, mortgage freedom really isn't far away at this rate!
  • Thanks all for posting, it's really nice to hear your thoughts and kind words!! It's great to be in a community of like minded people with the same goal :)

  • Good day today, payday for both of us and was the first time we have been able to make a £2000 over payment from our pay days for a month :)

Coupled with the standard £718 mortgage payment at the start of next month, we should be down to around £134,400..............about £1500 ahead of our target at this stage which is amazing!!

We have a 'mortgage £ left thermometer' that we printed off on our wall in our front room and colour in - in quarters for the year as we progress so will be able to colour in the next stage early which is such great motivation!!!

Hope everyone else on their MFW journey's are going good

  • Fantastic start. You will get there. If you have a set back with unexpected expense, just pull your shoulders up again next month and tackle it head on.

And I have posted about this elsewhere before - no OP is too small. Even if you round down your salary by couple of quid in your budget and pay the difference towards your mortgage, it'll all work out fantastic.
(In my budget all the income was rounded down and expenses rounded up, so I transferred the difference towards my mortgage everytime I had the chance..and now, I'm mortgage free and the feeling is unbelievable. :) )
