Don't buy an old car with the 1.6tdci engine. It is the 1.6 Peugeot engine used in a multitude of cars from Peugeot, Citroen, Mini, Volvo and Ford etc
A great smooth economical engine when new but have Turbo problems when older. The problem is that the oil feed pipes to the turbo block up with gunk causing the turbo to fail. Just replacing the turbo will result in the same thing happening but it is expensive to do the job properly and replace the oil feed pipes (and try and clean out the rest of the oil ways in the engine)
Just google 1.6tdci turbo problem0 -
