Universal Credit/JSA application - should I have heard anything?

So, I applied online on Friday.

Should I have had a phone call or even a confirmation email from them by now?

I've had nothing...

They usually send you a text asking you to visit a nearby Job Centre for an appointment within a couple of days of submitting an application.

Did you keep the reference number you were given at the end of the application?

Provided you submitted the application successfully if you claim is successful then it will start from the day you applied on (although you don't get paid for the first 7 days.)
  • I don't recall seeing any reference number...

Reference number should have been shown on the page after you submitted your application along with a message saying to write it down or print the page out. If you didn't get that page up maybe you closed down your browser window too soon and didn't submit the application? If you don't have the reference number it'll be difficult to chase up the progress of any application.

If it was submitted on Friday after office working hours, Monday will count as day 1 (in terms of their processing), so I wouldn't worry too much just yet - but I'd expect a text or call by tomorrow pm, so chase it up then if you still haven't heard.
Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.
