Virgin Media Customer Services, what a joke!

    i had aright barney with VM last night. In june i rang up and requested to joing VM on the 2 for 20 quid offer. A lovely man called Grahem sorted it all out for me said he would send the self installatio stuff out as i already had the bits and bobs i needed. Marvellous i thought. The contract came through, it stated line rental 11.00 at the bottom it said (N.B IF YOU HAVE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF A SPECIAL OFFER, IT WILL NOT SHOW ON HERE) so me, i never thouht none of the wiser when my 20.00 odd pound bill came through, i dont use the phone much so i thought the bill was correct. Last night my broadband was cut off.

    After 6 phone calls to several different people i find out that the telephone and broadband are on dufferent accounts?? i'm not on the 2 for 20 offer.

    Why doesn't it say anything about broadband on the bill then if i've got an outstanding balance...."cuz the bill is sent via e-mail"

    I've received no e-mails from VM atall i reply. What e-mail address have you got for me? "the personal VM one"

    But i haven't got a VM one, "you have miss spaniel its the one we set up for you when you took out the contract"

    WELL WOULD YOU MIND TELLING ME WHAT IT IS CUZ I DONT BLOODY KNOW!!!!

    Who in the right mind sends out bills via e-mail? its not as if i ever got any reminders through the post

    I RANG THE TECH SUPPORT TONIGHT, HE TALKS ME THROUGH 17 MINS:mad: OF OPEN THIS, SHUT THAT, RESET THIS, "ITS WORKING FROM MY END" ARE YOU SPELLING YOUR NAME CORRECTLY? I AM 29 SO I THINK I SHOULD KNOW HOW TO SPELL SARAH ******. CAN YOU TYPE IT WITH ME SIERRA, ALPHA, ROMEO, ALPHA DOT ER WHERE'S THE HOTEL????? THEY HAVE SET UP AN E-MAIL ADDRESS IN MY NAME AND SPELT IT WRONG NO WONDER I COULDN'T ACCESS IT TODAY LET ALONE SINCE JUNE. I AM POSITIVLY FUMING NOW:mad:

    Learn to read . I live in Northern Ireland , VM have no sites here . If you read my profile you'd see I'm a civil servant ie. I dont work for the private sector .

    If you dont like the service there are over 200 ISPs in the UK .

    Pretending to be a manager for Tescos - shameful .

    Not living in Northern ireland myself, I am supposed to know whether you have VM over there or not ???? Doh !

    As per the last thread I wrote on about VM (where you also incidently jumped to VM's defence) I am tied in to a 12 month contract and as such cannot leave like most other disgruntled customers ! So I suggest you take your own advice and learn to read !

    2 points. 1) again, learn to read. I did state clearly that I "USED" to work for (ie past tense).
    2) I was a Senior Manager for Tesco for 13 years and don't need to pretend. Some of us do have real jobs !!!!

    The last 4 words in this statement are unnecessary !

    I dont have time to memorise every post you make , although you seem to remember mine - I must have made an impact on you , I should be flattered really .
    But launching a diatribe against someone who says something good about a company you just happen to have a problem with , and jumping to the conclusion (a rather large leap I might add) , that they work for them - how sad and pathetic your life must be .
    And please check the Forum Etiquette on the right
    Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
    Until now I have tried to be nice to people on this forum . If someone has a problem with something I know a bit about and I might be able to help , I will .

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: this really made me giigle because its just VM allover dont get me wrong i have had many an almost popped blood vessle trying to deal with them i pray befor i open any mail from them that i will not have to call them
  • Paying Virgin Media is like burning money! Their service is unbelievably bad; their staff are the worst on the planet! I have never known such incompetence, really it is unbelievably bad.

    Please everyone that is having problems with Virgin services report them to watch dog, the more this shoddy company is on that program the better.

    R. Branson should be ashamed of the way his company is being run down by incompetent staff.

    I am in the process of trying to changing providers, but they are trying very hard to make this impossible for me. How do you get away from this useless company? Oh they are useless!!!!!!
