This is the bit I don't understand. You looked after the property incredibly well and cleaned thoroughly before you left, so why was a further clean necessary? You should have simply disputed the whole cleaning cost.

Hi Parkrunner. Well, I’m an honest person - we’d cleaned well, had fulfilled all duties, repainting bits of walls where necessary. But we had omitted to clean the inside of the oven, and the hob top was cleaned but clearly not to a satisfactory standard. It was a very minor thing, but I had no qualms at all about that being picked up on in the checkout report. It’s sorted!
