    Morning everyone,

Dry and warm here at the moment, not sure if the winds will come this far east but due this afternoon.
So off to see Lulu this morning, not much else planned, my life is so predictable but happy, guess that's all that matters :)
Am planning to do with carrot and cashew burgers with roasted veg couscous for supper.

Have a good day folks x

    Morning all

No sign of Ophelia here but it does look rather wet and depressing outside. New duvet worked a treat. It's safe to turn the fan off now I think.

Grumps birthday today and also my adopted Sons birthday. Shame Grump has to work, shame my Grandson is in South Africa. Grump has been rather less grumpy of late, long may it continue as it makes my life a lot easier.

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a great day all

    Good morning everyone :hello:

It's very grey out and quite windy but no rain as yet. I am currently recovering from my own little hurricanes aka the grandchildren. They arrived at 7.30 to wait here before school so their mum could go to work. They were very good but my goodness they talk a lot :D. Anyway they have been despatched to school and whilst they were here I took the opportunity to fill the slow cooker with the makings of a lamb tagine.

I need to unload and refill the dish washer as my lovely Lilly 'forgot' this morning as she needed to do her makeup before college. Never mind it won't take long and at least I don't have to do any actual washing up. The living room looks more like a dog kennel due to the amount of chewed toys and bits of bone on the floor so I need to clean and tidy in there too.

My friend has just rang me and I have arranged to go and see her and her beautiful new grandson on Wednesday for an hour. I am very much looking forward to baby snuggles. I also have to go and help another friend this week with her appeal form and I have the grandchildren staying for a couple of days on Wednesday and Thursday. My nice quiet week is about to disappear I suspect :rotfl:.

Well I hope you all have a lovely day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Mr Fix It had a bad night therefore so did I :(. So I'm pretty washed out this morning.
However, we are not due any of Ophelia's antics ( maybe a bit of blustery wind later, oh er misses :rotfl: ) but it is wet underfoot and the sky is a peculiar shade of pale orange and getting darker by the minute. Seems a strange kind of sky, even Mr Fix It commented on it.
DGC fed and in school and DD has her hospital procedure this morning too, so we shall be on pins until we hear from her. DGS was concerned that he had left his badge of office at home, he's on the school council, he takes it so seriously that you would think he was on the local council. ( I think he would probably make a better job of it if he was :rotfl:. )
Anyway today I shall potter around doing little jobs that have been neglected and not much else. I also need to sort out the banking and I want to check what's in the freezers again, as I've noticed a few unlabelled boxes of something pre - made :undecided so will have to investigate Miss Marple style :rotfl:.
    Judi Happy Birthday to Grump
Keep safe everyone and good vibrations to all.

I also got the Carrot and Orange soup made so here's the recipe for LAMEWOLF and JACKIE as requested. http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/carrot-orange-soup/9856c1e7-bd49-4d2f-98e0-0b74c04a3852. It was pleasant enough but I felt it was lacking something so next time I am going to add a bit of minced garlic and root ginger as some reviewers of the recipe have done. Give it a bit of ooomph!
Many thanks for that, TA. I've snagged it to my recipes flash drive, also copied'n'pasted your comment about giving it some more oomph. So will be trying that when they next have oranges on cheap at the market. :o

It's amazing, isn't it, how one small dog can make such a HUGE impact on the house. :rotfl:

Mr LW sat and nodded off at the pc again this morning  so he has been put to dusting the lounge. ;) As for me, I want to spend an hour or so on my online Dog Training Course. I haven't had chance to look at it while Milly & Mia were here, so while we're between guests is a good opportunity.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I have just had a meat delivery so mince, burgers, sausages and bacon are now in the freezer and some sausages, bacon and chicken is in the fridge for the next few days.

I had planned to get the bus in to Leeds but the sky is a nasty murky colour almost as if a storm is coming so will stay in and be nice and cosy with my feet up, a good book and plenty of tea.

Good luck with the house viewing.

I hope things are a bit better for you.

Hi chums and I hope all our friends in Ireland are safe and well My niece lives in Minane Bridge and they are getting quite a battering at the moment her dog kennel has gone (lucky the dogs not in there and her stable has taken a bit of a wallop as well She is battened down in the house with her 4 children and the power has gone but she has candles and a camping stove I believe. She says its pretty frightening but the kids are being brilliant and very happy to have a day off school as the schools are shut.

Here in Kent its sunny and warm around 21c at the moment . No doubt we shall get our turn at some grotty weather before long. Its really weid the weather at the moment isn't it. I hope every one is safe and sound though.

Not a lot to do today just awaiting the boys coming in from school at the moment and having a cup of coffee.

Its making a nice change to have a bit of a breather after last weeks running around.

Made some melting moment this morning for my DGS and I bet they will disappear pretty quickly once they are home

Have a good Monday chums and stay safe

My sister lives just west of Cork and their power is off. My niece and nephews have all been sent home from work and there are trees down all over. We were told to expect the high winds here at 2pm....it was windy but ok then. Starting to get worse now - I've just had to go and fetch the wheelie bin back from the other end of the drive where it had travelled by wind power. Going to be an interesting night here I think.

My sister has an electric cooker (no gas line to them, the central heating is oil powered from a tank outside) and last time they had a storm I made her go to Argos and buy a camping stove. She said she'd probably never use it. The good news is that they can all have a fry up tonight instead of sandwiches and hot soup tomorrow.

Hope your DD is ok nannywindow

    Stay safe all of you

In the past hour the sun has vanished and its become very dark outside no wind hardly at all and although it looks like a storm will break its still very warm. The sky is a dark yellow at the moment i'm gladthe boys are all in from school

Take care everyone and look out for your neighbours if you can
