Not at all, as I've stated tax is fluid, the fact you don't realise this is quite naive.
Just look round a few of the other boards, do you contribute to vcts or not, pension contributions, the latter in particular leading to ability to claim additional benefits or reduce clawback.
Whether the tax reduction wags the tail of the risky investments, such as vct, eis, etc is personal choice and opinion.0 -
