Don't let them run you into the ground over the four days. They had plenty of warning and if they failed to plan ahead then that is not your problem in any way, shape or form.

silver-oldie and AOT hugs and fingers crossed for you.

I managed to get my flu jab this morning then did some shopping for tomorrow's steak and mushroom pie with sweet potato chips and veg.

The base of the pie is finishing cooking in the oven and I need to bring in the washing on the line outside before putting my feet up.

    Hugs to all

    Hi everyone
My washing got rained on today, although we had no rain forecast. So the towels can go back out in the morning and my radiators are covered in almost dry knickers!
Have had a busy morning followed by a lazy afternoon. Eldest DD is running the Manchester half marathon tomorrow, she has sent me a link so me and her grandad can follow her progress - he'll spend the whole time shouting encouragement to the laptop no doubt.
He had his appointment to be assessed for his cataracts this week and hopefully will have his left eye done before he end of November. His eyes are getting so much worse and he's struggling to see his laptop now. He told the surgeon that my mam keeps him in the garage....

    Evening all ( Dixon style :) )
Sorry for the late post but Mr Fix It's chair broke this morning and we have spent all day fixing it. Seven bl00dy hours . Nearly lost half of my little finger in the mechanism too :(.
As it's a swivel/rocker/recliner we decided to fix it rather than replace, as it is part of my suite and they no longer make the colour. Mr Fix It had to take the mechanism to the shed so that he could re - engineer it and then we re- upholstered the seat and back, while the chair lay in 5 parts. (Thank goodness we are multi talented ;) !). I was hoping for a gentle pottering kind of day. Yeah right. You know the saying "no peace for the wicked", well we must have been really bad in our past lives :rotfl: :rotfl:. Dad called in while we were in the middle of it and brought in some orange filled doughnuts, he put in his two penneth of advice on the chair, then left us to it.
I did manage to peg 2 loads of washing out too but it's not dry, so will hopefully get that dried tomorrow. I also cooked tea, I had salmon and a jacket pot and Mr Fix It had a sausage roll with some oven chips. The DW has been filled and put on. Now I have showered and collapsed on the sofa and Mr Fit It is also showered and ensconced in his " almost like new " chair :rotfl:. ( He is sitting there like a king upon his throne and now snoring his head off :D ).
Special hugs to AOD and Silveroldie I hope things improve soon for you both.

try not to do too much this week as it will still be there after you have left. Let them sort things out for a change rather than relying on you to do it for them. Enjoy your last few days and s*d them ! :rotfl:.
    T.T.F.N. and hugs to all.
