Fantastic news CC a new adventure for everyone.
Just proves there is really no good or bad situations just our perspective on them at the time.
This redundancy could be one of the best things that's happened to your family.
( I've probably not phrased that very well,.but you get the gist in sure)0 -
Chirpychick Oh my, a super new adventure for the Chirpy household. :T Excellent news!
There will be some challenges along the way (a house move is never seamless and straightforward, is it?) but I just feel in my bones that things are on the up for you now.
Well done for hanging on in there and not giving in to despair.
Btw - Mr LW have always shared the bath; I need assistance bathing in any case, and it saves time and water.
In any case, let's face it, most people in a relationship share a lot more intimate things than just the bathwater!:rotfl:

Hi Chirpychick just popped in to say well done to MrCC on the new job. It will be an exciting time changing homes, areas etc but I'm sure you will take things in your stride. Again many congrats :jFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0

Congratululations on Mr CC and his job prospects, it could be a blessing in disguise I am so pleased when anyone gets a job these days .My son-in law is in work, but redundancy is threatened and he has an interview to go to tomorrow if he gets it I shall be delighted for him as his Dad is in a hospice and the outlook isn't good. He is quite stressed enough as it is ,although they won't go without as DD has a job that will keep them Ok and afloat and their children are adults and one is married and living in New York and the other one is a teacher so no wolves knocking at the door ,although he is 51 and too young to retire just yet0

Well done Chirpy family. Good luck with your new adventure.0

Wonderful and timely news, cc., well-deserved.
I'm sure the interview panel knew how lucky they were to have a stand-out candidate.

Agreed, JackieO, re: anyone young or older getting into work these days. Also

I've no idea if Waitrose(aka Emporium) 1/2 price crimbo crackers are anywhere on a cc list, but that offer ends today. Shall collect some trivia ones, plus free cappuccino in carboot find thermal cup, using ancient person bus pass, thus an NPD.
Hwbs are fully employed of recent nights and their water goes onto gnarled clematis armandii at back door every morning. No waste:-)
Again, well done all of you.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Well Hello everyone! I hope you’ve all have a love filled Christmas!
I have come back on to give you an update and I’m afraid it is not good news
The job situation for hubby has been really bad, it really is too much to go into and i wish I’d updated earlier than this.
But basically he was supposed to start on 8th January but because of so many issues (too many to go into publicly or in one post) we have made the decision to turn the position down and neither of us has anything else to go to.
We have sought advice from various different people and places and are assured it is a sensible option given everything that’s been going on. However it’s also terribly scary going into the new year with no income!
Thankfully we do have redundancy money left. So we wont be totally flat broke yet.
I will be coming on again and again to share more and update, i just wanted to drop by and give an update and wish everyone a happy and healthy new year.Everything is always better after a cup of tea0 -
Sorry to hear that hon.
Has hubby signed on? (Might be best not to mention turning that job down, as they are funny about that.)0
