Netflix, Amazon, Smart TVs, Virgin Media, Freeview?

Puzzled!
We have Virgin Media for Phone, Internet and TV.
Recently we had a new Smart TV which we plugged into the Virgin Media box . The box is a Virgin TV V6. We installed the other one (also a Smart TV) in the bedroom via the Freeview aerial.
We can watch Netflix and Amazon films on both of them. I am a bit puzzled as I thought we would only be able to watch them on the Virgin Media connection.
Am I correct in thinking that one is through the Virgin box and the Freeview one through the internet directly?
I'm pretty sure we don't pay for them to be on both TVs. Would one of them be free?
As I say - Puzzled!

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

If it's on the smart TV it's nothing to do with virgin. Do they even have amazon/netflix apps on their box? Sky certainly won't allow the competition!
To watch Netflix, Amazon or Now TV all you need is an internet connection and a device to view the content eg a tv and the set top in your case
OP are you looged in on the same accounts on the TV and the V6 box ?
Are both TV's connected to the internet either wifi or ethernet ?
That's right Netflix and Amazon are nothing to do with Amazon.
The Virgin Media TV guide has a Netflix channel and on the TV there is a netflix icon that you can click on. You have to subscribe to it though, which is why I am confused and thought you could only watch it on one TV.
Same account on everything.

Is it possible to make the fourth screen our son's TV, who lives at a different address?

My office mate says her sister uses her Netflix account - and she lives in the Netherlands.
As far as I know it is how many screens you can have it on simultaneously so we have a package where we can have it on two screens, sometimes it is on in the dining room where grandchildren watch it if they want to watch something different to us, sometimes I have it on in the bedroom and if one of my kids is staying they might have it on in the lounge. You probably don't need a package for 4 screens.
I assume you son could use it, before we had it my DD would watch it at my house when she was visiting using her own package. Don't know if they would know or be bothered if they knew.
I am assuming you pay more for 4 screens, if not ignore what I said.
