This subject is covered in the AOS link you should have followed (ie not the bargepole link that covers the whole process, but the earlier link in #2 just about AOS)
You first register at MCOL - a step by step walkthrough in that link shows you how.
@piggypolo, have you by now (surely...) followed the very simple pictorial idiots' guide to doing the AOS? As advised above; you were told to do that first. The idiots guide is the simplest way to show newbies what to do. Don't ask for a link to it.
Why not actually read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread in its entirety? Instead of only looking when people refer to it.
And if CEL have said they will send full particulars within 14 days then wait 14 days for those.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
Yes I have read, followed and completed the AOS online as I am not an idiot. Surely you must have realised that as I didn't ask a question about that. So no, i will not be asking you for the link to that thread either.
I am not sure why you are so angry and or why my question has caused such outrage and insults from you. I simply wanted to know if I should wait the 14 days because of the following comment in said thread:
The process is this:
1. Claim Form is issued and served. Claim Form should (but often doesn't) contain details of what it actually is (the Particulars of Claim) (there is also provision for Particulars to follow after 14 days, but the Claim Form has to say this and PPCs never do this).
2. Defendant files a defence. You do not have to go into intricate detail, but must mention every defence you have and particularise (ie explain) each aspect of your defence in sufficient detail for it to be understood. If you don't, the risk is that you cannot run certain aspects of your defence later.
There is no mention if PCC's do do this. I just wanted confirmation of whether to wait or not before submitting my defence (which is step 2) NOT completing MCOL. That is all and I am very sorry that this offended you so much. Maybe you are having a better day today.0
