I have read that and i will follow the instructions re ticking and leaving blank but it doesn't actually way where or how to submit - do I just need to post it? Can someone please answer me that? 2. You should now Acknowledge Service of the claim, ticking the box that says you will defend in full. Do NOT put anything in the 'Defence and Counterclaim' text box, not even a full stop. By doing this, you have extended the time to submit a defence to 28 days from date of service, which is the date printed on the claim form plus 5 days. Now it's time to burn the midnight oil, and research relevant defences on these forums. Only look at recent stuff, and don't just blindly cut and paste text, you must adapt it so that it's relevant to your claim.0

Is there no clue in the guidance notes on the N1 form?
Do it on MCOL.0 -
No. In the notes it just tells me not to ignore it and how long I have to respond. That's it.0
-
This subject is covered in the AOS link you should have followed (ie not the bargepole link that covers the whole process, but the earlier link in #2 just about AOS)
You first register at MCOL - a step by step walkthrough in that link shows you how.0 -
No one has any advice or comments?0

I do, I replied in your other thread and told you that walls have ears and you should edit the bullet points and remove any hint of who was driving , especially as POFA2012 was mentioned in the defence (it was the same in both posts)
as I said in that other thread, if you watch police shows on tv they say the following
"you have the right to remain silent"
"anything you do say may be used against you in a court of law"
you need to be very , very careful at what you write on the internet on public forums that parking companies and solicitors monitor daily0 -
Yes, I have made a note of that and will change it, Thank you. I was just surprised that there was nothing else wrong with it

Yes, I understand what you are saying. I am finding this all very tricky to understand. I was told to read various posts, which I did and then copy a similar defence and make it my own but to be honest, most of the wording is lost on me. I am frustrated as I don't even know yet what they are accusing me of. Do you think I will receive something that gives more information? Thank you for your advice so far.0

nobody is saying that there is nothing else wrong with it
very , very , very few people on here are legally qualified to reply to a legal question or defence , so most dont
this isnt a legal forum , as it says in my signature
I make no comment about the actual defence , but rookie mistakes like saying I on these posts is commonplace and we tell dozens of people off every day for making such rookie mistakes
you have two posts to edit , the one above and the one in the new thread you copied it from
you might get a legally trained mind commenting on the actual defence , or you may not , thats the chance you take when asking volunteers with no legal training to comment on a public forum like MSE
there are no legally trained staff here being paid to help you , just volunteers giving up their free time to aid those in need with whatever limited help they can give
so there are far too many court case threads on here and very few people that can help those thread starters
there are new protocols from 01 oct 2017 on giving defendants the POC , so if yours is dated oct 2017 and those particulars are not with you , complain to the claimant in writing and tweak your defence to state that they have failed the new protocols
I already told you this in post #8 , post #10 and also post #15 on page 1
do they not say they will have the claimant send them within 14 days ?0 -
you still havent edited the post despite being asked
the longer they remain as they are , the more likely the people claiming the money will see them
as for defences and the latest protocols , read this recent defence which includes them, it may be better to adapt it ? (remove paragraph 10 for starters)

and stop making rookie mistakes when you write something online
never admit to anything on a public forum or social media0
