You can rant about it as much as you like but it's not going to change facts, you're not moving yet.
Stop ranting and getting so angry about things, it's not going to help and not going to change things.
Listen to what everyone on here is telling you, stop looking for compensation where there isn't any and stop blaming everyone for Nov telling you everything.
Either proceed with the house sale and push through your solicitor for it to be completed ASAP or pull out and start the whole thing all over again and hope for the best next time. But this is the world of house buying, things very rarely run smoothly and quicklyCurrent Mortgage 01.10.17 £113,513.88

<shrug> There y'go, then. You've identified the source of the problem. It's not the EA. It's not the solicitor. It's not the partner. It's not the chain. It's that the vendor's a pillock.tallsmithy wrote: »And that's exactly my point... The seller KNEW he wasn't in a position to give the go ahead yesterday, yet didn't inform ANYONE that was the case. Far as I'm aware, there's no compo due for that... Especially since you don't have a contract with them yet.0 -
I'm glad we came to the same conclusion lol! Yes he is massive pillock! And I realise no compo is due for that but hey I can dream. I do wonder however, the longer we wait, do we then renegotiate the price just out of sheer inconvenience!0

If you want to walk away, just walk away. Don't join him in pillock corner.0

Yeap go for it and drag it out longer and risk the chance seller will decide he doesn't want to sell to you any moreCurrent Mortgage 01.10.17 £113,513.88

Then you will wasted your own money. If the vendor aborts the sale. As your behaviour is then no better than his.0 -
He wont abort the sale, trust me! He has been desperate to complete from day 1, we have the upper hand now as without us he can't continue. I don't wanna sound all high and mighty but hes lucky to have FTB as a purchaser, otherwise it would be even more complicated for him! It's quite sad really that a lot of people on this forum have a superior complex & feel the need to tell me to "put up and shut up!" So I shall leave it there. Good luck everyone. :beer:0
