Managed to get a Wii remote. After my last post everywhere seemed to go balistic, and prices have rocketed on remotes as well as Wii Play. Still, managed to catch one that had only just been listed on ebay at a reasonable price, so my 4 year-old son will be over the moon on Christmas day.

Hi,
I'm off to the US next week, does anyone know if I can buy remotes there to work with my wii (bought last week from amazon.de, I too now get 'won't post to uk' messsages from that site). Also what, if any, games do I need the numchuk for? Will I have to buy extras for Christmas day or can that wait till/if we get a game that needs them?

Wii Play just ordered at Gamestation

I have just got hold of a copy of Wii Play to go with my new Wii Console. The controller in the console box came with a Wii Jacket - but the one in Wii Play does not. I tried registering on the Nintendo website to get another jacket, but got an error saying that the serial number has already been used. I assumed this was because my Wii Console already has a jacket included, but after a call to Nintendo CS I was told there is a glitch on the website for consoles with serial numbers starting "LEH14" which they are working on, so to try again next week.

So for anyone with Wii Play, you should be able to get a free jacket for your second controller next week. The website is: http://wii.nintendo.co.uk/22690.html
