I would love to try that, but none around my city according to their site, and oh boy the delivery costs are ridiculous!

I have given up on vegan cheese - all overpriced and tastes awful :-)
Know what you mean, but I have to admit, I've been enjoying the free from cheeses in Sainsburys - son says the Greek style is even better than cow's feta!

Check independent delis and wholefood shops. I've bought Henderson's in various parts of the country - first bottle I ever bought was in Bath. If you're a regular customer ask them to stock it - I'd be surprised if if wasn't in Suma's distribution system, which covers a huge part of the country.

I’d be interested in hearing about any offers for vegan versions of Worcestershire sauce.

As others have mentioned, Hendo's is the stuff you need, I've only ever seen it sold here in Sheffield but it's bloody lovely :)

Sainsbury's now has a small range of Follow Your Heart products - bought some Veganaise yesterday - which I find has been the best substitute for mayo - £2.50. I'm hoping it stays that price, as the wholefood shop an hour away from us sells it for nearly £4!

Thank you! That's exactly what I have been looking for. Places like Holland and Barratt sell it but it's too expensive. Watching this space with enthusiasm....

Sorry for splitting hairs, but feta cheese is made from sheep's milk, not cow's milk.

I get this online in London, can't buy it instore though. It's really nice. https://groceries.morrisons.com/webshop/product/Hendersons-Relish/227857011?from=shop&tags=%7C105651%7C102705%7C102735%7C102752&parentContainer=%7C102705%7C102735%7C102752
Aldi do some nice vegan burgers too! I have given up on vegan cheese - all overpriced and tastes awful :-)
I like the Aldi bean burgers, they are quite spicy. Must say, I disagree about the cheese. I love the Sainsburys Caramelized onion one. My non vegan friend could not tell the difference and I like the Tesco spicy one.

I felt like this until I tried some Tyne Cheese at the weekend! It is quite pricey - think it's £7.95 per block, and I think it has to be bought online. I found them at a stall in London on Saturday
    Where abouts in London

I tend to mainly cook from scratch & freeze extra portions, but I do like to have a store of fake stuff too. Linda Mc Chorizo & normal sausages - also bought some Hooba ones recently, they are unbelievably meat like, Linda Mc 1/4lb & her pulled pork ones, veggie mince, Morrisons meat free burgers, 6 in a pack. Most supermarket bean burgers, Aldi, Morrisons, Tesco, are usually alright. I buy tins of Green Jackfruit, you can make vegan pulled pork, check youtube for recipes. I would suggest, if you are running out of ideas, that you think what used to have as a meatmeater and veganize it, eg bangers & mash, spag bol. Veggie mince can make a ton of things, burritos/wraps, fling in a jacket potato, shepherdless pie, lasagne, meatballs, etc., is an example of just one ingredient. This is a good Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=vegan%20(supermarket%20finds)%20uk - good luck.
  • if you have a farmfoods near you they now do burgers, sausages, meatballs, mince and sf chicken pops, they are on offer for 3 for £5 at mo
  • I find though that my cheapest meat substitute is making seitan, costs upfront to buy in bulk but lasts for ages
