If a majority wanted to stop Brexit they would have voted LibDem. It's pretty straightforward. They didn't.

My ward had a candidate standing solely to save the local A&E. He polled less than a thousand votes. I therefore conclude that no one wanted it saved.

The really joyous thing about today is that HMG has called the bluff of the remainiacs in the Tory Party and won.

Any Tory MP voting against the Government today must be thrown out of the Party, it is a simple as that.

NOT "no-one", just not the majority. ;)

I read a while ago about an A&E somewhere which closed and was instead given an Out Of Hours service. During the past year this was used by only 65 people. (Grantham, Lincs IIRC.)

Be reasonable and ask yourself whether or not it is the best use of resources to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds on a facility and staff that is used about once a week throughout the year. If it was a shop could that survive with one customer per week?

So again, not "no-one". Just not enough of the population.

What Brexit? Investors warm to UK stocks as M&A surges
Despite a torrid start to 2018 and with Brexit uncertainties looming large, British blue-chip stocks have jumped to record highs thanks to a weak pound, a torrent of mergers and acquisitions, and bouts of political anxiety in the euro zone.

Now if you will excuse me I must work whilst the remainer faction here as usual does the equivalent of navel-gazing, dreaming up (often crazy) reasons why Brexit will be a disaster instead of actually doing something about it to benefit themselves.
Well my time is better-spent seeking out opportunities and so far personally Brexit (be it plans or otherwise) has not had any detrimental effect; quite the opposite in fact. For this I thank you all.

Buying FOOTSEI 100 futures at 5am on the 24/6/16 from panicking remainers (5600 now 7723) was my personal high point (I did take a break to raise a Union Jack on the scaffolding on my house when the BBC called it for Leave).:T

Yes I have made some pretty good profits as well, the fall of Sterling was a real money spinner if you held/bought Non-Sterling income assets. Not sure how much the people of Sunderland made out of it though, we can't be all winners.
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher

They were probably too busy jetting around the globe arranging new trade deals. I see a tory minister has resigned on principle....Philip Lee who is someone close to May as well!

You bought 'FOOTSEI' 100 futures at 5am on 24th June 2016 and the position is still open?

    went to cash before

unwound into actual shares when LSE opened

    then closed off futures.

futures allow you to trade footsie when closed
