If you have access it goes on to discuss the DWP data showing that eastern EU migrants receive more in welfare than UK citizens as well as paying less tax, a brief summary of which can be seen below.

There's nothing quite like a Sun article and comment section to remind us what Brexit is really all about.
A less misleading headline such as "Average eastern European immigrant earns less than indigenous population" presumably wouldn't have had the desired effect with people like "Leeds ripper"Leeds_Ripper wrote:I've got a better idea, kick them all out even if they have kids born here the kids are not British if they are born to even one foreign parentThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Oh you didn't notice that the post said that it was a brief summary of the Telegraph piece for those that don't have access then?
You're just being deliberately disagreeable it seems.
My post is regarding the tone of language used in the Sun article, I assume you don't disagree. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
An excellent piece here in the Guardian about the future of Gibraltar.
Little Englanders would do well to try and better understand that Gibraltar and Northern Ireland may be British in name, but those particular plants have very long roots that spread to the EU.

Just another load of Leftist post colonial guilt-ridden twaddle lapped up by middle class Remoaners. The drivel you lot are reading at the moment in an effort to assuage the anger at your loss is hilarious.
The story of the U.K. in my life time has been a policy of self determination as regards what’s left of its empire. Gibraltar and NI are free to leave whenever it suits them and such is the self confidence of the U.K. state even constituent nations of Great Britain like Scotland are given a periodic vote on continued affiliation with the rUK. Oh for such self confidence in Spain it has to be said.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -
If you want to leave the eu why would you want citizenship? Hypocrisy?
Presumably you'll be easy to spot at ports since you'll be the ones not embarrassed by the blue passports.
I'm just making an assumption but I would wager that in 10-20yrs time if the decision to leave the EU is judged by the vast majority as a success you personally would deny voting remain or admit to accusing those who voted Leave of being elderly racist bigots who sold their kids futures down the river...
Hell would freeze over before I would take up an EU passport.
You keep backing the EU and you will do just fine as one of their "Kapo's" (Funktionshäftling).............0 -

If somehow brexit is a success in 10 years I'll admit being on the wrong side. Just like I can admit I voted Tory once.
I'd much rather have the eu passport from a practical standpoint; it'll let me through more ports more easily. I won't touch a .uk passport unless I can avoid it.
Indulge me. Intrigued about the implication that the EU us like the Nazi party. How does that work?
How come all the far right and nationalist parties are anti-eu?0 -
Why does the colour of our passport bother you so much and did you not know that blue is the world's second most popular passport colour?
It is used by the USA and quite a few South American countries as well as Australia, Israel, and quite a few more.
The only ones embarrassed would presumably be those with so much hatred and so little knowledge that they make ridiculous statements about the colour of their nations passports.
It's not the colour that's the problem. It's what it represents; being the only Brexit campaign item that happened.0 -

The seamless trade didn't better lives? The imported staff? The shared research?
Or the environmental regulations or safety standards?0 -

How come all the far right and nationalist parties are anti-eu?German citizens still possess the world's most powerful passport, according to new research, but there's good news for the UK, which has climbed the table from joint eighth to joint third place. The ranking by Henley & Partners, a citizenship and planning firm, takes into account how many countries can be visited without applying for a visa. German citizens can travel to 177 out of a possible 218, up from 176 last year, while Britons can visit 175, up from 173.

Wasn't the EU that bettered and improved peoples lives. But people doing it for themselves. Something which sadly has been lost in the past few decades.0 -

When Scotland, narrowly, voted to remain part of the UK, they didn’t realise that they were about to be dragged out of the EU by a xenophobic Tory government and its supporters.
Gibraltar will be subject to a power sharing agreement of some sort within the next 5 years because the UK will have no other choice other than to offer one.
Brexiters understanding of Northern Ireland is deficient, to be kind.0
